Gashi/Ghushi

Gashi can be plain or with green peas, channa etc. Eat with sannakhotte, pathrade

Ingredients

  • 1/3 coconut grated
  • 3 roasted red chillies
  • tamarind a little less than a marble.
  • 10-12 grains of methi roasted
  • salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoon oil, mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Method

    Make a fine masala with grated coconut , chillies and tamarind. Add methi just before removing the masala. Grind. Use masala water to bring to right consistency.

    Boil the masala with salt .

    Season with oil, mustard seeds and curry leaves.

    Plain gashi an be prepared with onion seasoning in which case roasted coriander seeds and methi are to be omitted. 

    The above gashi will go well with sanakhotte or pathrade 

    Green peas gashi can be made with the above masala with the onion seasoning
