These can be made with sweet potato, breadfruit, cooking banana and brinjal etc.

Ingredients

  • vegetables of choice
  • chilli powder
  • rice flour
  • salt
  • oil for frying
  • Method 1

    Cut these vegetables into 3/4 cm size.

    Wash.

    Smear with salt sprinkle chilli powder, dust in rice flour and shallow fry on a tava.

     Phodis can be deep fried too.

    Ingredients 2

    vegetables of choice

    chilli powder

    rice

    hing

    salt

    oil for frying

    Method 2

    Soak rice in water for an hour.

    Wash remove water and then grind rice with salt, chilli powder and hing.

     Dip the Phodis in thin paste and deep fry.
